The IT Law Group regularly advises on all aspects of information technology law. Recent highlights include:

  • advising a major Government department regarding 24 projects under procurement (estimated value £3.5 billion) in Phase 2 of a major scheme to increase capacity, and supporting the mobilisation, service delivery and exit of closed projects under Phase 1 (estimated value £1.2 billion)
  • advising the UK's leading provider of integrated solutions and services for secure and resilient mission critical communications on  two major contracts worth approximately £1 billion in aggregate
  •  advising the UK's leading supplier of investor-recordkeeping services and systems to the UK domestic and to the European "offshore" market in respect of four £multi million financial services regulated outsourcings
  • advising British Energy on a multimillion pound replacement of a data processing system
  • advising a devolved Government department on an IT change management programme encompassing a £220 million IT procurement project, and ongoing contract management processes
  • advising a service provider in a £130 million vendor-independent managed service contract for imaging systems
  •  advising Philips Medical Systems in a £110 million managed services project for imaging and IT
  • advising a leading IP television company on a 5 year £75 million network framework agreement with Cable & Wireless
  • advising a top 20 UK university in relation to a major collaboration with IBM which involved the procurement of a £50m "supercomputer" at the new institute of Life Science
  • advising a consortium of 20 local authorities on the joint bespoke development and procurement of a social services system under a partnering arrangement with an internationally renowned software company
  • advising a number of NHS trusts, central government bodies and local authorities in England and Wales on the Freedom of Information Act and the Data Protection Act
  • acting for a variety of technology organisations such as Apple, Microsoft, Clearswift, CheckFree, Audatex, INUK, Buffalo Technologies, Atlogus, Foundation Network, MSA Focus and Wandsworth
