With the fragile state of the economy, late payments for the supply of goods and services remain a big problem, especially for smaller businesses. According to a report from payment company ‘Bacs’ at the end of 2011, small and medium-sized businesses in the UK have an incredible £33.6 billion in outstanding invoices. This is an increase of 10% from 2010. Unfortunately and unsurprisingly it is the larger companies who are the worst culprits.
