Credit control consultancy
Experienced members of our team can spend time with you assessing your current systems and advising on best practice. Altering your credit control procedures whether by timing, content or style can result in dramatic improvements in cash flow. We can also advise on claiming interest on debts and draft terms and conditions of business to your advantage.
Pre-litigation service
We design this service to suit your needs. It can be particularly appropriate where you wish to preserve an ongoing business relationship with your debtor that could be affected by formal proceedings. We will pursue payment of the debt by way of correspondence and telephone calls. We will not damage your brand image whilst ensuring that our correspondence has the necessary impact upon the debtor.
Letter Before Claim
Before issuing court proceedings a debtor must be advised of the extent of the claim and that payment is being demanded. This letter is often an effective means of securing payment or at least can result in queries or disputes being raised and resolved at this early stage.
Court proceedings
With our case management system we are able to run court proceedings as fast as the court timetable will allow. We are experienced in all types of recovery cases and have the resources to handle the complex as well as the routine.
Enforcement procedures
If the judgment debtor still won’t pay we know how best to approach that problem. We have experience in all formal enforcement methods including using the County Court Bailiff or High Court Enforcement Officer to seize assets or securing an Attachment of Earnings or Charging Order. The correct choice of procedure at this stage can be crucial to a successful recovery.
Insolvency proceedings
For undisputed debts in excess of £750 (the statutory minimum) a statutory demand and/or formal insolvency proceedings may be appropriate. We have experienced insolvency lawyers in the team who can carry through this process to conclusion including advocacy at court hearings.
