Neil is an experienced advocate and regularly appears before a wide range of courts and tribunals as both a defence and prosecution advocate. Neil’s practice area includes criminal offences and road traffic law; health and safety and environmental legislation; and proceedings before professional regulatory bodies.

Neil represents motorists in cases ranging in seriousness from causing death by dangerous driving to speeding. He also represents businesses and their employees in investigations and prosecutions for manslaughter and health and safety breaches following work place accidents.

Neil also appears for the Nursing and Midwifery Council in proceedings for misconduct including the cases of two independent midwives following an investigation into the deaths of babies in home births. Neil is also regularly instructed by the RSPCA to prosecute on their behalf.
