Having completed her training contract at Morgan Cole, Catrin qualified into the Health, Risk and Regulatory Department at Morgan Cole. Since qualification Catrin has acted on behalf of various NHS Trusts in personal injury claims brought against the Trusts and also with cases on behalf of the Nursing & Midwifery Council investigating allegations of misconduct made against nurses. Nowadays however the majority of her work deals with acting for solicitors and their insurers in solicitors' negligence cases and also in acting for doctors in the defence of clinical negligence cases. Her main caseload relates to defending solicitors in professional negligence cases.

She was awarded Welsh Trainee of the Year at the 2004 Western Mail Law Awards having been nominated for the award by the Partners of Morgan Cole.

Catrin has over the last three years completed two secondments with two insurer clients in London where she carried out work as a claims solicitor dealing with solicitors' negligence claims. Catrin therefore gathered experience of how insurers deal with solicitors claims in-house. Catrin was on secondment at one of the leading Insurance Companies in the market during the 2007/08 renewal period which again gave her an insight into the insurance world where she worked side by side with Underwriters and also dealt regularly with Brokers.

Catrin is a fluent Welsh speaker.
