Justin joined Morgan Cole in January 2007 having previously been a partner in a leading technology law group in the City of London. He specialises in advising both customers and supplier on all aspects of the law relating to information technology from outsourcing and complex systems integration contracts to software licences, electronic commerce and data protection issues. Justin has spent a substantial period of time working on secondment within Government advising on major IT procurements. He has also spent six months on secondment to a world class IT consultancy. Justin is co-author of ‘Electronic Government: a practical guide to the legal issues’ published by Sweet & Maxwell.

Bruce has over 20 years experience advising technology business on all aspects of commercial and corporate transactions. He has advised on a number of corporate investment and restructuring deals, and has led significant procurement and outsourcing projects including a £220m IT change management programme for the National Assembly for Wales, and a global web-hosting deal for a major oil company. He is currently leading a 24 contract procurement project for a government department.

Alison is a commercial lawyer who specialises in IT and intellectual property matters and advises a wide range of clients from individuals to large multi-national corporations, educational establishments and NHS Trusts on IT and IP issues. The range of IT companies she acts for includes, developers, distributors consultancy companies and maintenance companies as well as corporate IT users. This means she regularly advises on all aspects a business’ IT/contractual needs, particularly development and licensing agreements and collaboration agreements. She also advises on UK and European law and their impact on IT agreements.

Chris is an IT and projects lawyer with a wide range of experience in acting for public and private sector bodies in IT projects and outsourcing. His expertise includes negotiating a variety of IT agreements, public and private sector outsourcings, and advising on computer and e-business contracts. In particular, Chris has a lot of experience within the Health Sector.

Liz is an IT and E-business specialist, advising on procurement and outsourcing contracts for public and private sector clients. She advises technology companies on a range of commercial issues, and has been seconded to Xerox Europe, BP and Accurate Software. Liz recently completed an in-house role in major health procurements for the Department of Health. She also has expertise in Data Protection and Freedom of Information Act issues, and holds the Information Systems Examination Board (ISEB) Certificate in Data Protection.

Darren has specialist expertise in information technology, e-commerce, data protection and commercial contract negotiations. Although Darren’s advice is predominantly to IT systems/service providers and technology-based businesses, he advises a wide spectrum of organisations ranging from government departments and regulatory bodies, to utility companies, university colleges, new technology spin-outs and national academies on technology related issues.

Nathaniel has advised both end users and suppliers of ICT. Nathaniel was part of the Morgan Cole team that advised the National Assembly for Wales in relation to its £220 million outsourcing for the provision of the NAW’s ICT and Business Change services, and the Welsh Ambulance NHS Trust in relation to the outsourcing of a new digital radio and communications system for Wales. Nathanial also advises on data protection, cutting edge convergence issues and has recently advised on the legal implications of IP television and IP telephony.
