ISEB certificate in data protection

Morgan Cole provides five-day, lawyer-led courses designed to equip you with the knowledge to obtain the Information Systems Examination Board (ISEB) Certificate in Data Protection. The Certificate is a nationally recognised qualification which acts as the benchmark for competence, ability and performance in data protection, and covers the ‘softer’ skills as well as technical competences required for compliance with the Act.

It is an intensive course and most suited to those people with some background knowledge of data protection, but particularly:

• Information Governance officers/managers
• Heads of Information management
• Human Resource managers
• Clinical Governance officers/managers
• IT/IS managers
• Marketing / Database managers

There are two options available for attendance on our courses:

Courses at our offices in Cardiff, Reading or Oxford
You can attend one of our scheduled courses, which take place over five consecutive days at one of our offices. Naturally, each course covers the entire ISEB Certificate in Data Protection syllabus through the week. Although it is an intensive course, there are plenty of ways in which our lawyers make sure the delegates enjoy themselves.

Courses at your offices (or local to you)
If there are a number of people from your organisation, or from a group of related organisations in your area, who wish to work towards the ISEB Certificate, we can deliver the course at your offices or a suitable local venue, according to a timetable that suits you (e.g. one day a week for five weeks or any other combination). Please note that ISEB requires that there must be at least six delegates and no more than 16 attending each course.

Examinations
Examinations are scheduled by ISEB and can be booked directly (for attendance in London) or as part of a Morgan Cole course, where delegates will return to the same location as the course. Examinations can be arranged at your premises where the number of candidates and the facilities meet the requirements set out by ISEB. Each examination currently costs £150 plus VAT.
