- advising the Department of Health in connection with the Independent Sector Treatment Centre programme and providing ongoing contract management advice
- advising the National Assembly for Wales on the 2002-2003 NHS structural reforms
- PFI and NHS LIFT schemes to provide hospital and community healthcare facilities
- procurement of an electronic patient record system and IT managed services for a new hospital – one of the largest and most complex outsourcing arrangements of its sort undertaken within the NHS
- procurement of managed services (including an air ambulance service), treatment centres, medical and technology equipment and clinical services
- providing support to clients following ‘dawn raids’ by authorities with statutory powers
- our team has assisted a number of organisations with aspects of the regulation of commercial and non-commercial clinical trials. In particular, we have advised one of the country’s largest trusts on commercial clinical trial agreements with pharmaceutical companies as well as on a framework agreement with a university covering the conduct of non-commercial clinical trials
- advising a large NHS trust in relation to the Ambulance Radio Re-Procurement of a digital radio and communications system for Wales which forms part of a £300 million procurement to provide coverage across England, Wales and Scotland
