  • acted for a private sector consortium in a PFI project valued at £25 million, involving a new hospital and community healthcare facility, and new and/or refurbished old community health clinics. Negotiated the consortium's finance package – term loan, bridging facilities, letters of credit, parent company guarantees, direct agreements and a hedging instrument
  • acted for Cardiff Bay Development Corporation in a PFI project valued at £120 million, comprising the construction of a road together with urban regeneration involving commercial and residential property development.  Advised on the private sector consortium's finance arrangements.  Subsequently advising on a refinancing of the project – the first refinancing of a PFI project in Wales
  • acted for the Defence Aviation Repair Agency on an £80 million PPP project to procure a new maintenance, repair and overhaul facility for aircraft at St Athan, South Wales.  Advised the Agency on the private sector's finance
  • advised the National Assembly for Wales on the first housing stock transfer of council accommodation in Wales, with a project value of £90 million.  Advised the Assembly on the syndicated finance arrangements
  • acted on an agency basis for the US advisors of a Japanese Bank on a US$15 million investment in a North Sea oil field.  Advised on the funding agreement and drafted the security documents
