We are pleased to report that our Autumn Education Seminar was well attended, in particular by Universities and Further Education Colleges.

The seminar was designed to focus on the impact that the increasing popularity of social networking tools (for example, Facebook, Twitter etc) has on Education Institutions. Particular areas of focus included data protection issues, managing exposure to claims such as defamation and harassment, and claims in the Employment Tribunal.

The seminar stimulated an interesting debate on acceptable use, and was an opportunity to discuss key tips for resolving the complex issues facing educational institutions that may have staff and/or students using such sites.
