Morgan Cole has been appointed to provide a range of legal services to MacIntyre, a national charity for children and adults with learning disabilities. The board at MacIntyre ratified the decision on 22 May.
The team won the account in a five-way pitch. Bill Mumford, Managing Director of the charity said: "MacIntyre initiated a tender process as we wanted to appoint legal advisers with the breadth and depth of expertise required to support our ever growing range of services and in particular to ensure we are on the front foot when negotiating or resolving legal concerns. The appointment of Morgan Cole was a unanimous decision; not only were the standard of the presentation and subsequent question and answer session excellent, there was an immediate good rapport and feeling of trust with Gayle Curry and her team who had clearly understood our needs and gave us great confidence in appointing them as our legal advisors"
Morgan Cole will be providing employment law, commercial property, commercial and intellectual property law advice and consultation.
Having grown in size substantially and now having premises and services throughout the UK and employing a workforce of circa. 1,800 staff, MacIntyre decided it was time to test the legal market and build a relationship with a full service high quality law firm. Their legal spend is likely to exceed £100,000 per annum.
