Mental Capacity Act Training Network


The Mental Capacity Act  2005 is due to be implemented this year and will have a profound impact on more than two million adults who have limited capacity to make important decisions for themselves. It will have a major effect on all health and social care staff and organisations working with adults who may lack capacity.

The seminar is aimed at anyone who is involved in health and social care and will provide an overview of the Act, covering the following issues:

  • Assessing capacity
  • Processes and policies
  • Core requirements of the Act
  • Designated decision-makers & protection
