Rachel specialises in construction and engineering law, dealing with contentious, non-contentious and professional negligence issues. She has extensive experience of arbitration, litigation and mediation. Rachel also has a proven track record in bringing and defending adjudications on behalf of contractors and specialist sub-contractors and of enforcing Adjudicator’s decisions in the Technology and Construction Court.
Rachel has significant experience in drafting professional appointments, building contracts, performance bonds, collateral warranties and other construction documentation and advised the National Assembly for Wales in respect of the new Assembly debating chamber. Rachel acts as the team’s primary point of contact in respect of secured lending transactions and regularly advises a variety of institutional lenders as to the adequacy of construction documents for security purposes. Rachel has had a number of articles published in The Construction Law Journal and has acted as guest editor of the same publication.
