Meryl has 10 years’ banking experience during which a thorough grounding was obtained in the major aspects of domestic and international banking. She is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (Diploma in Banking).

Meryl is head of Morgan Cole's Banking and Finance Team. She acts for a range of lenders (generally clearing, non-clearing banks and building societies) and borrowers (including housing associations, finance companies, plc's and private companies).

Meryl's work includes negotiating loans, working capital facilities, security and related documents including advising on syndicated multi-currency facilities, project finance, invoice discounting, management buy-outs and buy-ins; dealing with financial assistance implications on share acquisitions; agreeing and issuing secured and unsecured loan stock; dealing with debt restructuring; undertaking security reviews for lenders and advising on and undertaking restructuring of security; taking specialist security in the form of ship and aircraft mortgages; advising on trade finance; asset finance; and regulatory advice, particularly Consumer Credit Act and Financial Services and Markets Act.
